Guabi invests on high technology and the most modern manufacturing methods, packaging, handling and packing. Its product line for Pet is totally automatized, assuring total hygiene and proving food that is crispier, with a better texture and palatability and digestibility. All food products go through processes such as pelletization, extrusion or sterilization, which are essential for the nutrients to be completely absorbed by the animals and generate more energy and health.

We are pioneers in the development of extruded feed for fish and more recently, we have innovated with the launching of the first Brazilian feed for shrimp using a modern technology assuring zero fluctuation and bigger stability on the water, factors that are essential for a higher productivity in the farms.

The company has partnerships with several universities, research centers and farms, aiming the development and evaluation of new products. The products that are being developed are tested for performance and evaluation before they are launched, assuring a safer product for the animals and their owners. Additionally, Guabi relies on international consultants among its researchers. They are Ph. Ds., specialists on Acquaculture (Fish and Shrimp), Ostrich and Pet Food. In the shrimp segment, the company currently

develops, along with EMBRAPA and UNESP, studies for new products to fight IMN - Infectious Myonecrosis. Guabi’s laboratory is equipped with high tech equipment, compared to the manufacturers of food for humans, it monitors the whole productive chain and the manufacturing processes, assuring the product’s final integrity.

In the pet segment, Guabi built the Experimental Center for Research and Development at UNESP campus in Jaboticabal – SP. The complex has dog and cat kennels with several animals for the performance of feeding tests, under the most perfect health conditions and respect for cats and dogs. All products from PET Line are manufactured by Guabi according to the standards required by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO).


	Guabi’s Laboratory monitors the productive chain assuring quality in the final product. The process laboratories have high-tech equipment, comparable to human food industries, aiming to assure the final product integrity.

So that technicians, veterinarians, nutritionists, laboratory workers and all the professionals working in the company are always updated, Guabi has agreements and partnerships with universities and National and International Associations.

An example of these partnerships is the one made with the Research Center for Small Animals at Unesp – Jaboticabal/SP. Working together with the Research Center for Small Animals at UNESP (State University of São Paulo)- Jaboticabal, and with the highly regarded professors, Guabi, one of the biggest producers of animal food in Brazil, built the first experimental center in cat and dog nutrition in the country. This is the result of a relationship that started in 1999 and targeted, at that time, the development of food for equine, birds and fish.

The experimental Center situated at UNESP is equipped to develop and test new company products for the pet market. The unit was inaugurated on June 20th, 2002, with the presence of many academic and business authorities. The building provides conditions to shelter 30 cats and 20 dogs and several rooms that will be used for testing of new products or products already in the market.

To keep the high standard of the food, Guabi trains and prepares its professionals offering lectures, seminars and updating courses. Besides that, it invests in infrastructure and modern equipment to guarantee the best results and assure the improvement of its product line.
